In my research I have gone back to 1020 A.D. where Ingram Lundresford was a Resident in Sussex, UK.

I have seen data about an unnamed wife around c1082, who was born circa 1062 in Sussex, UK. I believe this must be speculation by person(s) unknown.

It is my understanding that this line is derived from lineage as given by his descendants in stating their pedigree for the family Coat of Arms (College of Arms). I also understand that this pedigree was also stated/recorded in Latin -- thus the spelling of the name is Latin (de Lundresford) and the actual name used may have been Lunsford.

Legend is that Ingram may have been one of those who led the initial charge/defense against the Norman's (William the Conqueror). It is said that he -- and his son, died in this effort.

Most dates associated with this line -- until about the late 1400's -- are speculative, as I understand it. It seems they are derived by information about what King was sitting during their lifetimes. As a result, they were therefore known to be living at a certain time frame.

Ingram had a child named AELRICUS DE LUNDRESFORD.

I have seen what I consider speculative notes about an unnamed wife whom he married c1108 in Sussex, UK. She was speculated to be born in 1088.

Despite his noted birth year -- legend is that AELRICUS may have been one of those who fought in the initial charge/defense against the Norman's (William the Conqueror), led by his father (Ingram). It is said that he -- and his father, died in this effort.

The name shown is probably the Latin rendering, rather than the actual name used (correct name may have been Eric or Elric Lunsford).

Said to have lived during the reign of King Edward the Confessor, who died in 1066 (killed in Norman Conquest).
